GOD Bless 2010

2010 is just hours away and as Marie sat at faith's door and looked back at her relationship with God, it can only be described as wavering, with lots of ups and downs.... There were very intense moments of love and adoration , amazing bonding with a loving Father ; but there were also unsettling times of hurt and questioning, when God stood patiently by while she raged and stormed. Her faith was so tested so many times in 2009, but God's grace was steadfast with her. On the whole, the past year was pretty good but somewhat spoilt when someone snatched her favourite handbag with all her precious documents and all her goodies inside...but as usual God's strength makes the difference.
..
What has 2010 in store for Marie?? It is in the hands of God but she prays that 2010 will be more than good. No tests!!Let it be blessed, full of angels, blessed providence-more than enough and the ever presence of God in her life! If God is with us , Folks, the whole world- will be for us! A Fruitful N peaceful 2010 to us all!!!

A Sunday's Recollection

One of the most beautiful teachings in the bible is family love and how to uphold that love. Husbands and wives love each other till death do us part, children honour and obey their parents and continue to love them even when their mind is gone and in turn, parents should not push their children beyond limits that they end up frustrating their parents. Each has a responsibility, a specific role to play in preserving what is called -the institution of a happy family and a home. In so doing, Christian values are instilled and kept alive , Christ -mas is practiced every single day of our lives. The light of God shines in our lives and that radiance, brings the inner joy and peace which gives life the meaning to live and journey.

This morning's reading and homily brings to mind, beautiful pictures from yester-years, the christian values practiced in the home of a distant cousin, from the Methodist church. He used to live just next door to the church building itself. Marie used to frequent their home and the picture imprinted in Marie's memory was the way the whole family- young and old, honours, love and respect their widowed mother/grandmother, a headstrong woman in her late seventies. Their family was a wonderful example to the whole church community; people dropped in all the time to say their hellos to this grand old lady. She remembers, Chinese tea flows all the time..
.
News has it that this family was very blessed, their children prospered in life and that cousin and his wife were very loved and respected by their children until the day, the Lord calls them home, because they taught their children well...and their children in turn instilled the same good values to their own children..
.
People in villages of yesterdays, really, really carried out the commandments of the Lord to the letter. You will be able to know a christian just by his behaviour...those were the days ...and those were the values that stayed on in Marie's heart and memory and the prayer is that her own family will be blessed with good christian values and blessings as well.
.
The wonderful thing about God is, He remains by your side, no matter how you questioned Him.
Good things, bad things, they all happens for a reason. Marie told the Lord, the night before she was robbed that she was going to close her eyes and just hold on to His hand and let Him lead her on in whichever direction is best for her. Then it happened and the human in her questioned but the morning after, she awoke with the intense feeling that God never left her side, no, not even for a single second. It was a very secured and special feeling, an out of the world feeling ! Thank you God ! Whatever the reason for the "misfortune" she firmly believe, God will reveal!
.
Marie received an ocean of encouragement ; so many people prayed for her., especially her siblings and their families....thank you, and God Bless -all you kind people out there. A special note of thanks to Nancy, sister! the grace of God be upon you!

ROB! RIGHT INSIDE THE CHURCH BUILDING!

Marie was robbed right inside the church building this morning, and in the middle of an early morning Eucharistic celebration. So thieves have no respect for God but Marie asks, how could all this happen, right in God's presenc////e???? ! She was left without her car keys, her handphone, her money, her ATM cards, credit cards, etc...etc.... She is never going to get back the things stolen from her ; just as she will never forget the gleaming sharp axe the thief held in his hand.. All this happening right before Christmas?????Hello!!! is someone trying to tell Marie something??? So many people and yet, they were not able to stop a lone thief!

Something new at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Klang

Those glass panels, with the Divine Mercy, standing on each side of the Holy Mother, certainly does wonders to the church building! First impression- incredibly awesome, like the final touch to complete a beautiful religious picture, yes, to Marie that is,,,,, it certainly adds to the holiness of the church building !A complete picture is one thing, but the other, more powerful, is this feeling of peace flowing outwards and upon the parishioners! And the message of peace was aplenty this morning!
.
I do not know about you folks, but in this type of environment-holy, serene and peaceful setting ........... if you and only you, are kneeling before God, especially, in the early hours of the morning, .... or anytime at all, just seeking a quiet moment with Him....... , YT thinks, your faith will surely draw His Presence and fill you with a peace so beautiful, it could only be described as joyous!
.
Loved the new look!

Just Sharing

Working on a public holiday and a complete day Saturday, had left Marie so exhausted, it was an effort to stay focus for mass this morning. Homilies were some thing she always enjoyed but this morning, all she heard was the sin of gluttony... maybe because she ate so much on Friday and Saturday that food was still on her mind. And exhaustion has a way, of closing your mind and ears to even the most inspiring sermon and words.
.
It is nearing that time of the year again when festive fills the air. This year Marie shall skip the Christmas Tree, she loves putting up for as long as she could remember. She shall take a little salt from the wisdom of the church and mix it in her coffee and tea. Christmas is the baby Jesus and not the splendour of the Christmas tree and the festive, nor is it Santa Claus. Christmas, this year, will be a time of healing and examining of self, focus, direction and bonding with God. . And yes, Christmas, is a time to rest her tired physic and spent time just to smell the roses...catching up with family and friends, minus the food.

Sunday Reflections

Marie heard the distinct voice of St Paul, his firm footsteps at her parish this morning! An ardent appeal, moving and passionate from one who seeks to bring the flock entrusted him back to God. This is the period of Advent! This is the time to clear the ugly cobwebs clinging to us, cleanse ourselves , change our soiled clothes into clean garments and be ready for his coming! Yes, commit to smoothen the many imperfections in ourselves through deeds and actions pleasing to our God; prepare to put our best foot forward and God willing, continue to walk in ways pleasing to Him....until His coming...
.
And if Marie may say so...fortunate are those with the time, the energy, the capability to serve God as they do now... indeed, they are blessed and chosen by God, to gather treasures for themselves in heaven and ..shine radiantly - their good deeds in the Book of Life..!
.
Others like her, are otherwise tasked. They had been tasked other obligations and responsibilities . God has his reasons for doing that; the will of the Lord is beyond our understanding....Folks, have you ever gone through a journey when you were all set and ready to begin a journey of hearts desire and then suddenly out of the blues, your plans became "crooked..so bent" ..that somehow, you find yourselves blogged down- so many cares that you just were not able to carry out what you intended to do??? If you have gone through similiar frustrations, perhaps it pays to remember that "Man plans but it is God who decides "... Similiarily.... NOT all had been called and NOT all had been blessed to serve. There are other ways to be christian..the Lord himself will show us...love for neighbours, siblings, the weak, the sick..those less privileged than us.... a kind word of encouragement, a smile, in times of need etc...etc..
.
Those called to serve and walking the footsteps of St Paul., spreading the good news and actioning good deeds...be very grateful and thankful , you have been so blessed! Others were not given the gift! God Bless Brethen!

The traffic was chaotic but Miracles of miracles YT made it for Holy Hour! Thank God for the healing prayer , the songs of praise, the promise of God's grace and His eternal presence at our side. Lord, my soul marvels at the wonders of Thy might! And Thy Might Oh God, is the strength that substains me and keeps me going...
