The Fear Factor

People, were you at the sunset mass @ Our Lady of Lourdes Klang, the evening, of 18th April 2009?. Did you hear the powerful homily delivered this evening? Despite the heat , Marie's mind was actively alert, because, the message this evening was , so for her. She, was and still is very much controlled by fear. To be very honest, she, Marie is a very blessed person, God has worked so many miracles in her life but fear dimmed many of the blessings, it clouded her faith and trust in God, and her judgements just blink! off, so much so that she often found herself gropping in the darkness, very much afraid, and made a mess of her life. She did not trust enough; somehow, she has to learn and turn this fear into TOTAL trust and belief.; she knows God will take good care of her and yet she constantly looked around for a safety net! Yes, Sir, she had been doing that, not realising that,sometimes, you could get entangled by safety nets!

And many a time, the Lord sends angels and saints into her life to provide for her and yet, again she fears ....will she hurt others if she accepts a more senior position, will she cost others their livelihood if she grasp whatever is offered her? Should she turn a blind eye to the pain of others?? This is the constant predicament she finds herself-not wanting to hurt others. Always making way for others...giving. ....I guess, if she has a thick face and a black heart, she would have soared with the eagles and continued flying high. How many times, she turned down opportunities, disappointing those who wanted to give her opportunities, because she felt for the other person...Has Marie made a mistake? Did she disappoint her Provider as well??

People, do you get as many soul provoking questions about your own life from the weekly homilies as Marie?. Looking back, if faith and trust had been strong enough, if she could think more for herself and a little less for others, life's journey would have turned out entirely different. But as always, the gospel readings and the message that comes with it, brings God into the touching range. We learn, and as we get wiser, we appreciate life much more. If one does Good, though one may not have riches, wealth and position, There is the peace of the Risen Lord within, a clear conscience, and with it, the ability to sleep well..

Easter Joy

Hallelujah n Alleluia! Praise the Lord! We worship the Risen Lord! Happy Easter one and all! A joyous Easter indeed! Words and thoughts bubbled, there is just too much to share that the written word just failed me. It does not matter because the Word of the Lord God rises supreme especially at this time of new birth , a time when we are reminded time and again, that Jesus, the Christ, who had come 2000 years ago, to wash away the sins of the world, has conquered death. Death has no power over Him, brothers and sisters! He had arisen and seats at the right hand of God, the Father! He is not a memory, He is very much alive, He is with us! He watches over us, His spirit moves in us and with us.

Marie wishes all parishioners of OLL, friends, especially, the parish priests , The Joy of Easter and the peace of the Risen Lord!

Palm Sunday

It had been a challenging Lent -people, and Marie had been so challenged and tempted that she was so looking forward to this day of praise and worship - a day, she could join the congregation to be with God and let the cares of the world slipped away; a day she could find renewed strength and faith to face another week. The past week had been a time of conflicting emotions. There were moments when she allowed feelings to overwhelm and wanted to just kick out and wham some bums and the next, she felt sorry for uncharitable emotions etc..etc.. This Lent, Marie also experienced a weakening of spirit, she was spiritually affected and had call out to her Prayer Group for reinforcement prayers.At that point of need, she was much comforted by reassurance that there were people out there who stands ready to pray for her and indeed the powerful prayers did change the environment. Thanks folks! And May the good Lord Bless you all folks!

There were so many times during Lent, this Lent..Marie had called out for the strength of the Lord. Lent this year, is a period of orientation and adjustment to a new work environment and it had not been easy, but the goodness and love of God prevails. Somehow, the confusion, and the maze had cleared and her pathways are now more lit ed. Lent also brings joy, the happiness of watching the nurturing and strengthening of Christian faith for the children, for family connection to the Lord God. ...

By this time, next Lent, Marie prays to be secured enough for her to devote some time to serving the Lord. Both the offering and the thanksgiving hymn reflects Marie's deep prayer , Yes Lord , Marie place this great prayer into your Hands....
